The German crime thriller The Devil Came from Akasava (1971) tells the story of a group of secret agents trying to recover a stolen mineral that, not unlike the Philosopher’s Stone of legend, has the alchemical properties of being able to turn base metals into gold and extend the life of humans, albeit in zombie form.
