A true mindbender of a flick that came out a full decade before Inception (2010) played with many of the same ideas, The Cell (2000) centers around using experimental technology to enter the mind of a comatose serial killer, in order to find out where he has hidden his latest kidnapping victim. Jennifer Lopez plays Dr. Catherine Deane, one of the scientists who invented the procedure, in order to try and hop in coma victim's heads to wake them up. When the three named serial killer Carl Rudolph Stargher (Vincent D'Onofrio) ends up in a coma, the FBI decides to use the same tech to figure out where his likely still alive most recent victim is. Dr. Deane enters the psyche of the psychopath, and in that space we’re exposed to the violent sexual fantasies of a man who likes to torture women. It’s quite the trip. But when it ends up damage done to the doc in the man's mind translates to her brain being busted up in real life, the situation becomes dire. It's called "The Cell" because the killer likes to trap women in a big glass cell and fill it with water. so that he can watch them slowly drown. Luckily, viewers will be drowning in skin thanks to all the weird nudity this one's filled with. Most of it comes form the killer’s victims, and unlike Buffalo Bob's penchant for the BBWs, all of Stargher's girls could be starring on the runway. Elena Maddalo shows her titties lying in a bathtub full of blood, while Catherine Sutherland flashed her funbags while lying naked on a slab in the morgue. She's not naked but the dimepiece Kim Chizevsky-Nicholls is wearing a thong in some weird diorama in Stargher's head, as well. We'd like to jump in her pants!
