After Jaws (1975) became the highest grossing movie of all time in 1975, a slew of "Don't Go In The Water" movies followed. One of the cheesiest and, honestly, most fun of the bunch was Tentacles (1977) a movie about a mutated killer octopus that wreaks havoc on a sunny California beach town! It's also got a hell of a cast from John Huston stepping into the grizzled sea veteran like Quint role, to Henry Fonda and Shelley Winters. The effects are exceedingly lame, but lots of fun too, making this the perfect time capsule movie to enjoy on a summer day when it's just too damn hot to go anywhere. Since this is a beach movie, you can expect lots of babes in bikinis baring their beach bods, but there's no actual nudity to speak of. We do get some great looks at Sherry Buchanan in a skimpy bikini being attacked by the octopus, which might just get you grabbing at your own tentacle!
