Killer Nun (1979)

Swedish bombshell Anita Ekberg may be an unconventional casting choice to play a nun, but the protagonist in Giulio Berruti’s off-the-wall cult oddity isn’t your average Sister--she’s a Killer Nun (1978). Isn't she? What sounds like a pretty typical Italian nunsploitation flick is actually based on the true story of a murderous nun who killed a bunch of old people in Belgium back in 1977. She was nowhere near as attractive as Anita, though. Thanks Heavens the filmmakers cast someone much easier on the eyes, and lustier between the thighs! In the film, Sister Gertrude (Anita Ekberg) has just recovered from surgery to remove a brain tumor. But the surgery messed her all up, and now she's convinced she still has cancer, is mentally deranged and obsessed with reading about all the nasty ways Saints have been tortured over the years, and even starts stealing all the best drugs from her very much still in pain patients. Everyone at the hospital where she works is concerned, except for Sister Mathieu (Paola Morra) who is too obsessed with trying to grab some tit under Sister Gertrude's habit to say something about what a psycho she's become. When the bodies start piling up, of course Gertrude's the prime suspect. But the movie's just called Killer Nun. Nobody said that had to mean Gertrude... Already a big star due to her role in Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita (1960), Ekberg joined Luigi Casellato, Joe Dallesandro, and Massimo Serato in an ensemble cast of B-movie regulars. But this flick belongs to the killer bodies of Ekberg and co-star Paola Morra. Their scandalous scenes of lesbian love should leave you with plenty to confess on Sunday! Sure, the busty blonde that is Anita never shows anything beyond a bare back, but Paola shows all three B's while the perky paired, pixy cutted babe bangs a doctor, seduces Anita, and just hangs around naked. Holy smokes, that thin beauty with the bigger than you'd expect boobs is a smokeshow! Her body in Killer Nun is truly second to none!
