Small-town girl Candice Bergen gets lost in the Big City as the titular T.R. Baskin (1971). Chicago is the city in question, and it chews up sweet girls like T.R. and spits them back out on the mean streets. After an amorous encounter with tire salesman (and future Everybody Loves Raymond dad) Peter Boyle, the poor clod gives T.R. a handful of cash, crushing her hopes of a meaningful romance. Will these two crazy kids ever be able to find love? Before she was the hard-as-nails Murphy Brown, Candice Bergen showed her softer side in a series of scintillating ‘70s flicks. Here we are happy to report that Candice’s bergs swing into view as she undresses for her lucky fella. It’s a brief view, but worth skinvestigating!
