Mental stability may be nice, but Sweet Insanity (2006) is better. First of all, it opens with Rebekah Hoyle being chased in a bra by a knife-wielding crazy. It’s all a dream, but high school turns out to be the nightmare, when Rebekah befriends the new goth in town, Mackenzie Firgens. But there’s a killer on the loose, which really interrupts from Rebekah and Mackenzie’s burgeoning lesbian awakening. The thriller does deliver on its roots, as in thrills, and some nice hoots from high-school party girls Vanessa Motta and Corbett Tuck.
