Silent Nights (2016)

This Christmas, Danish gal Inger (Malene Beltoft Olsen) has decided to do something nice and volunteer at a local shelter for Ghana refugees in her hometown of Copenhagen. While she thought this might make her feel better about herself and her place in the world, the last thing she expected was to fall head over heels in love with a refugee named Kwame (Prince Yaw Appiah). However, that's exactly what fate has in store for Inger in the short film Silent Nights (2016). As Inger and Kwame progress in their relationship and take things to new and unexplored heights, the past that Kwame set out to escape when he fled Ghana is about to come back and haunt them both. Kwame and Inger both learn, quickly enough, that some secrets won't stay hidden, no matter how hard we may try, and as Faulkner said, "the past is never dead. It's not even past." We'd continue with our synopsis, but frankly, it's only a thirty minute film and to say much more would be to give away the second and third acts or the final 2/3 depending upon how you want to phrase it. There's one thing that this short film wastes no time in doing and that's getting down to the good stuff! Just nine minutes into its thirty minute running time, Malene Beltoft Olsen goes topless in bed for a sex scene with her co-star! It looks like these Silent Nights ain't gonna be involved with rounding yon virgins, if you catch our drift!
