Ida (2013)

The Polish drama Ida (2013) is set in Poland in 1962, where a young woman named Anna (Agata Trzebuchowska) is preparing to take her vows and become a nun. Before she can do so, however, she must go and visit Wanda (Agata Kulesza), her only living relative, to seek permission. When she arrives at Wanda's home, Anna is informed of her Jewish heritage, and how her family didn't abandon her, but was instead consumed by the siege of Poland by the Nazis, leaving Anna to question everything in which she believes! The film is austere, slow-moving, and very consuming, and definitely worth checking out, especially for Agata Trzebuchowska's nude scene at the 1:13 mark! During a lengthy sequence, Agata lies nude in bed with her man, and while there are hints and teases of nudity, we do get a few nice looks at her left breast toward the very end of the scene! Now that should bring new meaning to the phrase "gripping drama"!
