Sam Whiskey

Sam Whiskey (1969)

Review

The Old West was full of roughhewn scufflers, moseying from town to territory, mooching out a living by a combination of wits, luck, and occasional bouts of labor. The law, of course, was a concept these drifters had left back east; so when a sensuous widow offers Sam Whiskey (1969) a bit of work that’s not quite legal, the statutory aspects of the job are the least of Mr. Whiskey’s concerns. Reluctantly enterprising Sam’s pressing dilemma is how to remove a stash of stolen gold bars from a sunken boat and restore the bullion to the Denver mint before the loot is missed. The assignment might not be worth taking except for the bodily persuasion of the sexy widow, a physical spell that blinds a whiskey man to inevitable complications that will ensue.
