Review

With a movie title like Ripper: Letter from Hell (2001) you can kind of guess that this would be a horror thriller. The film focuses on a survivor of a massacre who goes on to study serial killers under a famous and well respected expert on the matter. Some of her classmates start to get killed off, and it seems to be the work of a Jack the Ripper copycat of sorts. The weird thing is that many of the people dying have the same initials as the original Jack the Ripper’s victims. Well, at least most of them do. Playing the heroine of the tale is A.J. Cook as Molly, who has a pretty enticing scene early on when she’s all muddy and falling over in the woods. Emmanuelle Vaugier also gives us a little action, but, alas, still no nudity. This film broke the cardinal rule of horror flicks by not including any worthwhile female skin!
