Ponyboi (2025)

Director Esteban Arango and writer River Gallo take their 2019 short film and turn it into a feature length film starring the latter as the title character - an intersex sex worker by night whose day job is at a laundromat that serves as a drug front. Their boss for both is Vinny (Dylan O’Brien) and one Valentine’s Day, one of his deals goes wrong when it turns out the drugs he’s peddling are tainted and inadvertantly kill a member of the Jersey mob. This sends Ponyboi on the run with a suitcase full of cash and they end up reconnecting with their deathly ill father who kicked them to the curb at a young age. Ponyboi also gets some added help from Murray Bartlett as a sweet, handsome cowboy named Bruce. It’s a racy nudecomer debut for River, who works hard for the money in a handful of sex scenes with johns, a topless moment with Dylan, and even a shot of them fully nude during a shower and shave. Aphrodite Armstrong also shows off her hooters for the first time on screen while in bed with volatile pimp. This is one Ponyboi you’ll want to take for a ride!
