Scripted by L.M. Kit Carson and lensed by Michael Rymer, the pedigreed indie comedy Perfume (2001) captures a whirlwind week in the life of fashion-industry professionals during an important show in New York. Rymer’s ensemble cast of characters includes a controversial photographer (Jared Harris), a bickering gay couple (Paul Sorvino and Peter Gallagher), and a harried designer (Rita Wilson). Oh yeah, and there are models. Lots and lots of models. Michelle Monaghan and Estella Warren barely refrain from stripping while strutting the runway in their chic designs.
