Isabelle Adjani is sexy and scheming in the drama One Deadly Summer (1983), a.k.a. L’ Été meurtrier, which is about a disturbed young woman seeking revenge on the man who attacked her mother. The young beauty sets out to seduce and marry a sweet fireman as part of her weird plot--which, strangely, culminates with her leaving him at the altar. Oh please, don’t throw Mr. Skin into that briar patch! This is still a seriously great foreign production, aided immeasurably by plenty of predatory nudity from Isabelle. Maria Machado also provides some kink as the mom who’s willing to let Isabelle breastfeed at an extremely advanced age.
