While many marriages degenerate to the proverbial war zone, few gender battlegrounds are fought upon by such stunningly attractive combatants employing such flamboyantly explosive tactics as the man and wife whose connubial hostilities are the splendid stuff of Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). Once the audience suspends its disbelief that any sighted human could ever tire of boning either of the Smiths, the contention that this couple is a pair of highly paid, infallibly lethal, and deathly competitive assassins is swallowed as easily as any slick and spectacular cocktail of action and sexual tension in recent movie memory, with twice the kick.
