Made-in-Texas Michelle Forbes followed a career path similar to many sly and sexy actresses who leave their hometowns behind in search of success on the stage and screen. Arriving in New York in the late '80s, Michelle quickly picked up a part on the leading daytime soap opera The Guiding Light, which soon led her piercing gaze and sleek figure to a handful of substantial roles in some notable films, including The Playboys (1992), Love Bites (1994), and the cult favorite Swimming with Sharks (1994). It was in the killer thriller Kalifornia (1993) that audience orbs focused on Forbes as she traipsed about sporting a Louise Brooks bob and some beckoning black undergarments that slipped away for one brief moment to reveal a glimpse of her equally black bush and a set of perky nipples. A series of sadly skinless films and TV shows have since followed, led by roles on Homicide: Life on the Street and Star Trek: The Next Generation, on which she played the undeniably sexy alien Ensign Ro Laren. In 2009 she joined the (often naked) cast of the hit HBO vampire series True Blood, though she hasn't revealed her fangs like some of her younger castmates.
