Wonderland was a well-written but poorly received series about life in a psychiatric ward, from the perspective of both the patients and caregivers. And who better to have a starring role in the nuthouse than Silence of the Lambs alumnus Ted Levine? (A.k.a. Mister “It puts the lotion in the basket!”) Levine ended up in the white coat rather than the straight jacket this time, starring as Doctor Robert Banger. While it may have been a decent production, the series may have been too intense for prime time, with its gritty images and dark themes serving as stark contrast to the usual fare of sitcoms and light drama. Co-stars Patricia Clarkson and Michelle Forbes have yet to do full frontal, but Michelle came close in Kalifornia, where she flashed a hint of bush as David Duchovny went down on her.
