Meridian (1990)

It’s true: Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve’s “Beauty and the Beast” (1740) is a tale as old as time since various versions have been passed down through the ages — from Sergey Aksakov’s Russian retelling “The Scarlet Flower” (1858) to the cinematic adaptations La Belle et la Bête (1946) by Jean Cocteau and Disney’s animated classic Beauty and the Beast (1991). In between, you’ll find the super loose departure Meridian (1990), also known as Meridian: Kiss of the Beast; The Ravaging; and Phantoms. The romantic thriller follows ultra-hot babe Catherine Bomarzini (Sherilyn Fenn), an art student who inherits a cursed Italian castle and moves into it with her sexy girlfriend Gina (Charlie Spradling). Sound promising? Well, just wait until the freaks show up. That’s right, circus performers pop in to up the wacky ante! They slip the girls a couple of Mickey Finns and help the ladies get their sideshow-freak on. In other words, we get to see Ms. Spradling’s fantastic plastic rack get squeezed in the sack! The film also includes Hilary Mason, Alex Daniels, Isabella Celani, and Ms. Fenn’s fabulous figure in a white satin bra and matching panties. Don’t miss Malcolm Jamieson as the twins Lawrence and Oliver (opposed to Laurence Olivier). Sherilyn’s twins make a welcome appearance a few times too! When Catherine doesn’t seem all that happy with her living situation, the circus folk plan to help her escape from her home-not-so-sweet-home. Things get bloody, and things get sticky, and thanks to Sherilyn, your thing will get stiff!
