In a Faustian tale of survival, Mephisto (1981) tells the story of an up and coming German actor who finds himself gaining fame for his role in a successful play in pre WWII Germany. As the Nazis come to power, his fame continues to grow. Soon he realizes his only chance of survival is to renounce his family and be the star that the Nazi party wants him to be. He sells his soul to them in order to survive them.
Karina Boyd plays the star’s lover and she leaves nothing to the imagination during a couple of very hot love scenes. Early on she and her man strip each other down and wrestle as they get busy.
