Macabre (1980)

Macabre (1980) is Italian horror at its sexiest, which is saying something. What it’s saying is that Bernice Stegers goes full-frontal naked for a bath scene and a bedroom scene. That’s like the best of both worlds and you get some pubes stuck between your teeth for good measure. It’s the first film by Lamberto Bava, who knew it was imperative to get the most bang out of his young bucks. The story follows a middle-aged woman, traumatized by rthe death of her adulterous lover, who moves into a room at a New Orleans boarding house where the blind landlord becomes suspicious that she may be continuing her affair with her dead lover. What more need we say?
