Review

Élodie Bouchez is working in a bookshop when some arty boy-toy comes in looking to dip his brush in something a little more colorful. The two soon become the entangled Lovers (1999) of the title and engage in some mattress-bouncing good times. This is Paris, after all. Élodie does what any good girl in a European film would do: She flashes her funbags and gives audiences a glimpse at her furbits. It turns out her lover is also an illegal alien, but that only means they have to stay in bed longer so as not to alert the authorities. With lovers like these, who needs pornography?
