Kinetta (2005)

Kinetta (2005) is the second feature length film and arguably the tone setting style marker of Oscar nominated director Yorgos Lanthimos.  This genius film takes place at a seaside resort in Greece during the very quiet off-season, where there is nothing but time to kill for a maid, an off-duty cop who is obsessed with BMWs, and a dude who works at the local photo store.  These three strangers take it upon themselves to try and recreate homicides via photography and video...  A strange hobby for three strangers stuck in a vacancy with nothing but boredom at hand.  The lines of the real and the cinema verite begin to blur between the trio and per Lanthimos' other films, there is a sensible darkness that is humorous and all too real at the same time!  The lead Evangelia Randou is the lone Nude-Comer in this one, showing her breasts in a few of the photographic recreations.  The ever sexy Youlika Skafida also strips down to her undies in a scene for your viewing pleasure.  Another solid flick from the Greek master of modern absurdity and humor, Yorgos.
