Jayne Mansfield's Car (2013)

Two families meet for the first time after the death of their matriarch in Billy Bob Thornton’s R rated flick Jayne Mansfield’s Car (2012). Set in 1969, the Southern American drama follows the emotional reunion between the Caldwells of Morrison, Alabama and the Bedfords of London, England. Even though this box office flop was dissed by most of the film critics, Mr. Skin thinks it’s definitely worth watching — preferably with a box of tissues! Needless to say, plenty of baggage will be unpacked as Phillip Bedford (Ray Stevenson) relates to Carroll Caldwell (Kevin Bacon), Vicky Caldwell (Shawnee Smith), Jimbo Caldwell (Robert Patrick), and Skip Caldwell (Thornton). Unfortunately, the scenes with Naomi Caldwell (Tippi Hedren) didn’t make it into the final cut of the film. Nevertheless, Jim Caldwell (Robert Duvall) takes visiting Kingsley Bedford (John Hurt) to see the automobile that movie star Jayne Mansfield died in. After her fatal crash in 1967, the car was put on view in a side show at a nearby Alabamian town. Speaking of star vehicles, we love that Frances O’Connor used this movie to showcase her headlights. As Camilla Bedford, the rising star will make the members on audience members rise when she flashes her flesh. Yes, Frances goes full frontal for Billy Bob — one of the perks of being the writer and director! Not to be upstaged, blonde babe Donna Baron (Katherine LaNasa) exposes her chest pillows during a long scene of pillow talk. Sssh! There’s no need for conversation, your boobs say it all!
