Ovum is a dark comedy very much based on the writer/director/star Sonja O'Hara's real-life experience with designer egg (or ovum) donations at a fertility clinic. Sonja was a self-described broke actress needing extra money and inspiration for a role, and her character Calpurnia was the same. What Sonja went into as a bit of an experiment was a more purposeful endeavor for Calpurnia, but they both ultimately went down the rabbit hole of egg donation, where the clinic wanted only the best-looking women donating their eggs. Prep involved tons of hormone therapy shots and tons of nudity, apparently - this movie is chock full of sensational skin! Sonja bares boobs, butt, and even stuffs her bra at one point, while she does some lesbian kissing with the beautiful blonde Kate Morrison, who also shows boobs in a tub! Michelle Vexilj strips down to her underwear, plus the movie opens with Amelie McKendry, Cat Yudain, and Tatjana Sinkevica wear bikinis in the opening scene! Ovum will have you showing your O face!
