In the spirit of George Orwell’s 1945 satirical novella Animal Farm, the 2008 drama Hookers in Revolt tells the story of a group of hookers tired of being abused by male pimps who decide to form a co-operative escort service that lives by the motto, "All Women are Equal to Men.” But, as Leon Trotsky learned the hard way, power corrupts, the revolution is always betrayed, and their motto soon becomes, “All Women Are Equal to Men, However Some are More Equal than Others."
