Also known as Black Cat, the Hong Kong action thriller Hei mao (1991) does precisely what Bridget Fonda did in Point of No Return (1993). Yep, it's yet another remake of Luc Besson's La Femme Nikita (1990), this time with Jade Leung as the seriously forward femme fatale. After accidentally killing a cop, bad-girl Erica is secretly enlisted by a top-secret spy organization, which slowly (painfully) converts the violent vixen into a well-honed killing machine. Once training is over, she's plopped back into the populace and enlisted for a series of overwhelmingly brutal missions. Plus there's that sweet little normal-life love affair that keeps getting in the way. We get frequent peeks at Jade's caboose early in the film, but the highlight has to be Jade's bare-assed dip into a pool while she brandishes a knife in her mouth.
