Temptation of a Monk (1993)

Asian sensation Joan Chen stars as Princess Hóngè in Temptation of a Monk (1993). In seventh-century China, General Shi Yan-sheng (Hsing-kuo Wu) fails to protect the crown prince from a murderous conspiracy and a coup that installs an evil emperor. This seriously bums out the General, prompting him to disavow worldly things and live as a monk. Sensuality comes back into Shi Yan-sheng's life in the form of Princess Hóngè, but even she has an agenda beyond just shining up the old soldier's broadsword. Joan Chen is always a temptation that's impossible to resist.
