Heather Langenkamp debuted in The Outsiders (1983) and followed that up with Rumble Fish (1983), not that you'd know it. Her scenes were deleted. Thus, she is known for her true debut in the classic horror hit A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), in which she, alongside a young Johnny Depp and friends, battled the ghoulish Freddy Krueger, who hunts them all down in their dreams. She went on to appear in several more Wes Craven pictures, including A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), New Nightmare (1994), and Shocker (1989), though in the latter she just played a corpse. A scream queen icon, Heather did manage to escape the ghetto of gore for a role on the short-lived series Just the Ten of Us, as well as the part of Nancy Kerrigan in the made-for-TV movie Tonya & Nancy: The Inside Story (1994). While her skintight outfits and ice-skating moves may have titillated us in that one, her only skin scene of real note was in Nickel Mountain (1985), in which she flopped around in bed with some lucky guy, showing off her flesh mountains. Oh, for a romp in the Heather.
