Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)

You can forget about seeing Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell) naked in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) but that doesn’t mean the R rated flick isn’t worth a look. In fact, the racy rom-com received praise from critics and sold masses of tickets — pocketing more than $100 million at the box office! Not bad for a $30 million budget and a debut screenplay by the film’s star Jason Segel. As struggling composer Peter Bretter, Jason loses his composure when his blonde girlfriend (Bell) unexpectedly dumps him. In an attempt to get over her, Peter gets it on with a bunch of ladies (including Carla Gallo who wants to be gagged) in a series of unsuccessful one-night stands. Eventually, his stepbrother (Bill Hader) convinces him to get away from it all. As such, Pete takes a trip to Hawaii yet ironically finds himself checked into the same hotel as his bikini-clad ex and her new man, rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand). While Sarah and Aldous enjoy tantric positions in bed, Peter makes new friends at the bar (Jack McBrayer, Da’Vone McDonald) and the beach (Paul Rudd, Teila Tuli). Breast of all is his budding relationship with the resort’s receptionist Rachel (Mila Kunis). This sexy brunette is laid-back opposed to uptight Sarah. There’s even a photo of her flashing her rack in the bar bathroom. Alas, Mila’s bare breasts are computer generated. Nevertheless, Rachel is able to inspire Peter’s peter! She also gets him to write a rock opera and to forget Sarah Marshall.
