Entre Nous (1983) proves that everything sounds sexier in French. That it stars Isabelle Huppert is only a plus. Even as her character is a Jew in an internment camp during the occupation of France in 1942 doesn’t take away from the hotness of this alluring actress. It helps that there’s some anonymous nudity at that point in the film. Isabelle escape through marriage and ends up in Italy. Sort of out of the frying pan and into the fire, right? In a related storyline, Miou Miou is grieving the loss of her true love to an apparent assassination at her art school. They took the arts far more seriously back then. When the two women meet years later they become friends and soon more than that, which ends their marriages. It’s a subtle lesbo thing going on here. They kiss, Isabelle complains that her boobs are too small, and shows us. We disagree.
