The Jean-Claude Van Damme (a.k.a. JCVD) ass-stomper Death Warrant (1990) offers a particularly charming explanation for the Muscles from Brussels's impossible-to-hide Belgian accent: here, he plays Louis Burke, a French-Canadian mountie. It doesn't take long to get our man off his horse, though, as Burke is sent undercover into prison to bust up a murder-for-hire and organ-harvesting ring. Once there, he befriends lifer Hawkins (Robert Guillaume—Benson himself!), beats the unholy fuck out of a lot of dumb cocksuckers who have it coming, and somehow gets Cynthia Gibb to strip down to her bra, all before taking down the head baddie with a series of signature windmill kicks. Death Warrant is one live wire of a movie.
