Director Wes Craven, a hot property after his earlier films The Last House on the Left (1972) and The Hills Have Eyes (1977), finds scares in the simple world of the Hittites in Deadly Blessing (1981). The Hittites are exactly like the Amish in their rejection of modern life, but one can’t keep his paws off of city girl Maren Jensen.
