Following her breakout as a pop diva in her own right, Beyoncé Knowles reconvenes her original crew for a comeback record. Titled Destiny Fulfilled, the 2004 album finds Knowles and collaborators Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams working their way through a cycle of sultry pop gems about women in search of love. Following the funky dance cuts Lose My Breath and Soldier, the trio downshifts into Cater 2 U (2005), a sensitive ballad with a video lensed by Jake Nava. Knowles shows why she’s one of pop’s biggest solo stars, standing apart from the pack to showcase her unrivaled curves.
