Translated as Hooray for Divorce!, Juan Bosch’s hysterical Spanish comedy Caray con el divorcio (1982) is a madcap ode to infidelity. Bosch’s male characters do everything possible to wriggle free of their marital obligations, while their shrewish wives cluck and try to ruin their fun. Every once in a while one of the lecherous cads manages to sneak off and bag himself a prize, like curvaceous blonde María Salerno. One glimpse at the sexpot’s scintillating body has Bosch’s unhitched hero celebrating his newfound bachelorhood.
