No true skinema fan can look back at the 1980s without pining for Barbara Peckinpaugh. This icy blonde had a severe look that dripped styling mousse, and her amazing natural bod defied both gravity and cosmetic surgery. Peckinpaugh had us pawin' our peckers since she made her film debut in 1972's The Witching (1972). Also called "Necromancy," right off the bat Barbara let every man-see all three B's as she's undressed as part of a cult ritual that seems to mostly consist of feeling up Barbara's boobs. She was a topless model getting photographed for a dirty magazine in the Joan Collins MILF comedy Homework (1992), and a topless cheerleader bouncing her ra-ra shishkumbah's in Erotic Images (1983), before she made it to the multiplexes as one of Melanie Griffith's fellow porn stars in Brian De Palma's hairy palmer, Body Double (1984). After appearing as herself, although she pretends her first name is "Chrissy," in the stripper competition documentary Best Chest in the West (1984), Barbara gave us a look at her bush and rack in the post-apocalyptic rollerblading nuns action flick Roller Blade (1985). What Top Gun (1986) did for Navy recruitment numbers in the 80's, the image of Miss Peckinpaugh's naked body stretched across a four star General's desk in Basic Training (1985) should have done for Army numbers, while she was nearly constantly without her clothes in the crime thriller starring a very young Kevin Costner, Shadows Run Black (1986). Unfortunately that would be the last film Barbara acted in, as whatever demons she was keeping in the shadows came to light, as she committed suicide in Hawaii at only 27 years old. Now, she lives only in our memories of her mammaries.
