Always appealing Andie MacDowell, a South Carolina-sired siren, took the modeling route to silver-screen stardom, looking pretty in advertisements for L'Oreal cosmetics and Calvin Klein jeans before snagging her first film role as Jane in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984). With nearly thirty films under her slender belt, including such sexy stocking stuffers as Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989) and The Object of Beauty (1991), Andie remains one of the few major actresses to more-or-less remain safely tucked away within the warm confines of her blouse, the only exception being the 1993 straight-to-tape titillator Ruby Cairo (renamed Deception for its Stateside video release), which found MacDowell engaged in a brief and dimly lit topless bedroom romp with co-star Liam Neeson. Praise the lord for the ever-present paparazzi, who occasionally manage to snap the kind of sensational, unsolicited shot of Andie that everyone wants to see.
