After the Ashes (2026)

The debut feature of writer-director Laetitia Demessence, this French-Canadian drama stars nudecomer Diana León as Leonor, a dancer from Mexico City who travels to Montreal to learn more about her mother, who died when she was eight. There she finds the contemporary dance company her mother had been a part of thirty years ago, run by Ariane (Louise Bédard). It’s there that Leonor’s mother danced a piece called Oraison, and Ariane decides to resurrect Oraison with Leonor performing it, hoping that struggling with the same demanding choreography will help Leonor understand what broke her mother all those years ago. Diana debuts her T’n’A here, stripping down for a shower scene, going topless while showing off some moves, and lying curled up naked in the woods. If you’re not horny after all that, you may need to see someone!
