A Nightmare Wakes (2020) is a film written and directed by Nora Unkel and is an adaptation of Frankenstein in which the young Mary Shelley is our protagonist. This telling of the summer retreat at Lord Byron's manor in Geneva, Switzerland, takes a darker turn as it focuses on Mary's loneliness and search for love. This story has been told a million times before, but this one takes a much darker approach. In this movie, she says that if she cannot inspire love, then she will inspire fear. Mary starts to see terrifying images in this movie including blood flowing from her hands and on the walls. Her lover Percy Shelley begs her to stop writing, but she is determined to bring her monster to life so that he stops tormenting her. This is one of the scarier takes on the story, but it also provides a little bit of fresh sexiness for us. That is why we are here, after all. Scary stories aside, we are here to view a sexy story. Our story begins when the leading lady shows some pokies. Alix Wilton Regan plays Mary and in one scene she lays back in bed in a low-cut dress that seems rather flimsy on her bust. We can see her hard nipples pointing straight up at the ceiling as if to say hello. The nightmare is waking, but this scene is actually our dream come true.
