40 Acres (2025)

The world is in shambles right from the start of this dystopian drama from filmmaker R. T. Thorne. A fungal pandemic, followed by a second Civil War, has led to a global famine and the end of society as we know it. One family managing a Canadian farm is able to get by, thanks mostly to the strength and rigidness of their ex-military mom Hailey (Danielle Deadwyler). Together with her Indigenous partner Galen (Michael Greyeyes), and their young charges Emanuel (Kataem O’Connor), Raine (Leenah Robinson), Danis (Jaeda LeBlanc), and Cookie (Haile Amare), they fight off gangs of outsiders hellbent on taking their land, their resources, and even the meat off their bones because the world's food shortage has turned people into cannibals. Then the family’s safety is put at risk even more when Emmanuel becomes mesmerized by a mystery woman in the woods named Dawn (Milcania Diaz-Rojas). He sees her emerge from a river in just a tight pair of panties and a tank top and later can’t stop thinking about her booty-licious cheeks peeking out from her wet bottoms, so much so he fills up a whole sketchpad with drawings of her phenomenal form. We get it. If anyone is a welcome distraction from the apocalypse, it’s a barely-dressed Milcania!
