The Green Knight (2021)

Based on one of the oldest surviving pieces of literature in the world, The Green Knight (2021) comes to us from director David Lowery (A Ghost Story, The Old Man and the Gun). Dev Patel stars as Gawain, son of Morgan le Fay (Sarita Choudhury) and nephew of King Arthur (Sean Harris), who has the honor of attending a Christmas banquet at the famed Round Table despite not being a knight. The banquet is crashed by a large tree man calling himself The Green Knight (Ralph Ineson) who presents a challenge: Any knight who can land a blow on him can have his Green Axe, however, they must also be willing to travel to his home the following year and receive a blow from him in return! When none of the knights take the bait, Gawain rises and—thinking himself quite clever—decapitates the titular chevalier. Suddenly, the Green Knight rises to his feet, retrieves his head, and utters the words, "One year hence" before riding off into the night. With the one year anniversary of this event approaching, Gawain becomes terrified of his fate before setting off on an epic journey to confront the Green Knight and prove himself worthy of his uncle. Oscar winner Alicia Vikander plays a dual role in the film as both a woman named Essel, with whom Gawain is involved in a relationship, as well as the queen of a swamp castle he encounters on his journey! Though she doesn't get nude in the film, she does show plenty of cleavage and even gives Patel a handjob! That's the great thing about Alicia Vikander, you've really got to hand it to her!
