Wishmaster 3 (2001), subtitled Beyond the Gates of Hell, brings back the evil djinn, this time wreaking havoc on the students of Illinois’ Baxter University. The only hope against this powerful foe is a magic sword, so it’s a good thing our hero has one. There’s a lot of confusing stuff in here, you know, that doesn’t make rational scenes. There’s a glaring lack of continuity when it comes to the djinn and its powers, but there the very fact that it has any superpowers at all would sort of make those criticisms moot. What we want from this kind of movie is weird shit and keep that weird shit moving fast so we don’t sit back and think, and the movie does all this and more. What more? How about naked babes? There are two topless she-demons, played by Angela Jackson and Ruth Dubuisson. And our lead, Louisette Geiss, is topless, too, in a sex scene.
