WifeLike (2022) is set in that beloved time known as "the not too distant future" where a tech expert named William (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is working on a new project for the titular company that makes realistic AIs for lonely people. William himself is a perfect candidate as he recently lost his wife, so to repay him for his hard work, the company gifts him Meredith (Elena Kampouris), an AI designed to look and behave like his deceased spouse.  Unfortunately for both of them, a rogue group of tech activists is attempting to control the various AIs produced by WifeLike, turning them into killing machines that will ultimately turn against and overthrow the company.
