Widow's Walk (1987)

Before Suzanne Vega recorded the song “Widow’s Walk” (2001), Robert B. Parker wrote the novel “Widow’s Walk” (2002) and Alexandra Boyd directed the film Widow’s Walk (2017), European audiences were thrilled with the thriller Widow’s Walk (1987). Pierre Granier-Deferre’s R-rated pic is also known as Noyade interdite, not to be confused with the sci-fi short film Noyade interdite (2016). Shot in Royan and Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, this feature-length flick follows Inspecteur Molinat (Philippe Noiret) as he tracks down a murder at a coastal resort off of the Atlantic ocean. Since the water swallows up new corpses everyday, the mystery has its challenges — most notably Inspecteur Leroyer (Guy Marchand) whose cumbersome ways impede Molinat’s progress. As the detectives go about their business, we encounter Cora (Andréa Ferréol), Elizabeth (Élisabeth Bourgine), Hazelle (Suzanne Flon), Keli (Laura Betti), Laura (Isabelle Mantero), Winny (Stefania Sandrelli), and Dr. Chauveau (Catherine Hiegel), who we hope makes house calls! Eventually, a crime ring is exposed involving a real estate agent, the village idiot, and three sexy women. The latter include Marie (Anne Roussel), Isabelle (Marie Trintignant), and a topless Jeanne (Gabrielle Lazure). Ooh la la! Not to be outdone, Ms. Trintignant also bares her French breasts. If that’s not arousing enough, the pretty Parisian shows off her nude booty and fluffy muff while sunning herself on the rocks. In other words, she’s literally hot! Needless to say, this whodunnit will have you doing it — to yourself — when you see these skinternational babes strutting their stuff in the buff!
