Even though Wendy Hughes was one of Australia’s most esteemed and attractive actresses, she never caught on in the States. This is a national disgrace considering the ingénue’s movie debut in Jock Peterson (1974). Not only does the saucy Aussie show off her acting chops, she bares her breasts, bush and butt! Now, how did Americans miss that? After proving baby got back on the down under soap opera Number 96 (1975), the Perfect 10 popped up in High Rolling in a Hot Corvette (1977) featuring Judy Davis, Christine Amor, and Wendy in the shower! The stunner really steamed up the screen by offering underwater nudity in Flash Fire (1981). The film stars Tom Skerritt but the real scene stealers are Wendy’s nude boobs! The pair (she and Skerritt) would reunite in the R-rated romance Wild Orchid II: Two Shades of Blue (1991). But not before the topless hottie gave titillating turns in Lonely Hearts (1982) and An Indecent Obsession (1985). Wendy revealed her range (among other things) in the drama Warm Nights on a Slow Moving Train (1988) and the comedy Lust and Revenge (1996). In between, she and her naked chest could be seen in the R-rated thriller The Heist (1989). Throughout her award-winning career, Wendy lent her sexy presence to the stage (The Graduate); movies (My Brilliant Career, Hoodwink, My First Wife); and television (State Coroner, Snowy River: The McGregor Saga, Homicide: Life on the Street).
