Vital Signs (1990)

Any self-respecting man whose compromised health subjects him to the gross indignities of recurring medical attention will do well to realize that these doctors who are poking, probing, and pricking him into a cowed fugue state were not always aloof, smug, obtuse, and powerless charlatans. No, even the most self-infatuated specialist at one time, perhaps many years ago, displayed some Vital Signs (1990) of humanity. These flickering indications of heart, soul, and earthly passion are fanned to flaming drama and illuminating comedy as a group of ambitious medical students compete for professional success and the amorous attentions of the hottest chicks in the class. During their school days, when future surgeons looked upon their fellow persons as they would upon cuts of meat, the scalpel wielders occasionally saw a sizzling rump steak.
