Vanessa made her Skinematic debut back in 1999 as one of the sociopath homeless teenagers following the leadership Chris Martin in Carl Bessai’s indie-hit Johnny. Although the film is more or less a tortured look at the so-called “Underbelly of Society,” much in the same vein as the infamous Kids, it comes across as a lot more fun than most movies fitting into that drama. (Gee, maybe that’s why it was so popular… We can only be so depressed for so long, Mr. Filmmaker!) In any case, Vanessa falls for Johnny’s charismatic leadership qualities and begins taking part in his street gang’s semi-humorous videotaped “scenes” which generally involve someone getting hurt, embarrassed or arrested. Vanessa’s most memorable “scene,” though, involves her flashing a passing motorist who seems, and understandably so, amused as all get out. We would be, too… So, the next time you see the Skinmobile cruising the streets, young, comely street hoods, make good use of your ornery ways and show us some tit! Wait. We don’t think that was the message of the movie at all… Oh well…
