Unpredictable (2024)

A twisty Polish thriller that starts with a look at the abusive relationship between Martyna Poznanska (Agnieszka Grochowska) and her husband Wojciech (Pawal Malaszynski). While her businessman husband is at work or off intimidating people around town, Martyna takes care of his alcoholic father, who lives in a flat she owns near her best friend Alicja (Magdalena Cielecka)’s place so they get to see each other often. Alicja is a single mother to twenty-year-old Daniel (Dawid Ptak), who arrives back home for the holidays and immediately starts dating Adelina (Julia Wieniawa-Narkiewicz), a troubled young woman taking care of her sick mother whom he meets on a dating app. But things between them are awkward and become even more so when Daniel ends up in a clandestine affair with Martyna. Just when it seems like Adelina has discovered their relationship and is about to rat to Wojciech, it turns out she has an even deeper connection to this deceitful web: her mother had a previous relationship with Wojciech and she could be his daughter. With things this crazy, a character death would surely complicate things even more, and it does - but is it suicide or murder? Agnieska brandishes some pert pokies during a harrowing encounter with the hubs, but her funbags are free both before and after this cougar gets shagged by the cub. Julia also goes topless twice while banging Dawid, but while he’s less into it than she is, you’ll be stroking it hard to her Polish pair for sure!
