Una donna allo specchio (1984)

An unlikely couple meets during a festival in a northern Italian town and falls madly in love in the torrid Italian romantic drama Una Donna allo specchio (1984). During the annual Carnival in Ivrea, a nursery-school teacher (Stefania Sandrelli) and an enigmatic Naples native (Marzio Honorato) bump into one another and experience a mutual spark of attraction. They spend a few days exploring their feelings in a cozy village inn but eventually come to the realization that they must return to their former lives. It’s a bittersweet conclusion, but Honorato’s character can take solace in the fact that he got to paw Sandrelli’s world-famous rack for a few days and nights.
