Blake Lively Growing Up

The daughter of an actor and a talent scout, the beautiful Blake practically grew up in Hollywood - if the last name is familiar it’s because Blake is a half-sibling of both Teen Witch star Robyn Lively. and Night of the Creeps and European Vacation's Jason Lively. Blake’s parents started teaching acting classes and would bring her along rather than spring for a sitter, so Blake learned the craft at a young age and ended up making her professional debut at age ten, playing the Tooth Fairy in the 1998 film Sandman, directed by her father. She stepped away from acting to concentrate on school, even dreaming of attending Stanford, but then a life-changing audition nabbed her a role in the 2005 film adaptation of a little book called The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and the rest, as they say, is history.

Blake Lively’s Early Breakout Roles 

Blake’s portrayal of Bridget Vreeland, the long-limbed soccer star in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, earned Blake instant acclaim, and really, who wouldn’t want to get into the California girl’s pants? She immediately followed it up by trading magical jeans for a white bikini in the fake college-set film Accepted in 2006. Then in 2007, she showed up in even more skimpy swimsuits in Elvis and Annabelle, the same year she made her small-screen debut as the leading lady of the hit teen drama Gossip Girl. For her role as bad-girl-gone-good Serena, Blake appeared in the highest of high fashion. Of course, fans would have preferred her out of those trendy togs. It seems Ryan Reynolds, her costar in the 2011 DC superhero film Green Lantern would agree, as the two of them started dating, then got married and got busy making babies. Luckily the two seem to have nailed the blending of parenthood with their day jobs so they could both continue to have successful careers and ensure we got more Blake for our cinematic bucks. 

Blake Lively Big Screen Teases 

In 2009, Blake carefully sprawled her naked body across Alan Arkin in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, playing a young Robin Wright and giving us our first taste of Blake Lively sideboob. She’d show more hefty cleavage while rubbing up on Ben Affleck in the crime drama The Town in 2010, and got humped furiously in two different scenes in 2012’s Savages. While playing a surfer who becomes shark bait in the 2016 thriller The Shallows, Blake brandished her bikini bod throughout almost the entire film but managed to keep it securely fashioned somehow even while fighting for her very survival. We started to wonder if we’d ever get the Blake Lively nude scene we so desperately craved, but then right away our prayers would be answered. 

Blake Lively in the Nude (Finally!)

Finally, in 2016's All I See Is You, Blake got nude for the first time on film. All we see is boob in a kaleidoscopic montage and butt through a steamy shower door. She re-entered the boob-tube in A Simple Favor (2018), unearthing some nip in a cemetery. She also engages in lesbian lip-locking and her character strips naked and gives us several seconds of butt exposure while running through the woods. However, for this long-awaited prolonged nude scene, you must credit Sarah Hödlmoser instead. Yes, Ms. Lively is guilty of counterfeiting booty. There was also some camera trickery in the film's sequel Another Simple Favor (2025) when Blake appeared to make out... with herself! Turned out a double dose of Blake was just the prescription we needed! 

Will Blake Lively Go Nude Again?

There was no booty double used in The Rhythm Section (2020) for the scenes with Blake in lingerie and underwear, but this is expected because she never got fully nude. Her next big project was a cameo as Ladypool, the curvy female Deadpool variant in her hubby’s blockbuster sequel Deadpool & Wolverine, released right before a flick where you actually saw her on screen - the romantic drama It Ends With Us from director and star Justin Baldoni. The trailer had Blake and Justin getting hot and heavy, but the real fireworks occurred after during the knock-down drag-out legal battle between the two after the movie was released, so we think we may have seen the end of Blake Lively nude on screen. 

In Conclusion 

Blake will no doubt have plenty of future chances to deliver great nudity, especially now that A Simple Favor sequel is on the horizon, but the question is, will she take them or leave the best nudity to others? Blake’s skinematic career has been far from lively, but we'll take what we can get from the gorgeous Gossip Girl.
