In the tradition of Southern Comfort (1981), Tigerland (2000) is another great Vietnam film set in the swamps of Louisiana. Colin Ferrell stars as a natural leader who’s doing infantry training before being shipped off to war. He’s thinking about going AWOL, though, which wouldn’t be a bad idea. There’s a psycho in his platoon who’s loading up with live ammunition, and he’s got a serious dislike for Colin. The local girls like him, though, as proven by Arian Waring Ash and Haven Gaston during some moaning motel maneuvers.
