Seventeen-year-old Randy Wayne grew up in Oceanside, California, but his mom—the lithe and lovely Lindsay Wagner—has up and moved the two of them to Colorado. Seems his dad ran off with his secretary (and the family savings), so they're starting over completely as The Surfer King (2006) opens. Lindsay's hooked Randy up with a summer job at the walloping water park Water World—it's just a job on the grounds crew, but it's as close to the ocean as he's likely to get. Then Randy meets fellow employee Ben Ziff and gets moved to work at the Surf & Snack Shack, where the workers are plotting to capture the Surfer King trophy at the Water World Employee Olympics. Ben thinks Randy is their ace in the hole . . . but the park owner's daughter, dreamy Cerina Vincent, has something else in mind for Randy.
